let you save you.
we took you far from the one you love
the only one you trust
trapped on a boat
alone with your thoughts
in a sea of paranoia
days go by
I don't know why
you've begun to hate me so..
tell me what I did to you
tell me what we've done
but it was no one but yourself.
nothing but your twisted mind-
so logical to you
you harvest select hints of crime
that aren't really there
when they come spinning back to you
they vanish in thin air.
now you're in good hands again
but I still can't help but worry
I've known you,
loved you my entire life.
where does that go now?
what to do..
what can I do
with these beloved memories-
the trust between us two these days
you've torn it all apart
I feel I can't be trusted now
to hold them in my heart.
I'm sick with fear
it will never be
the way it was before..
but you were always dear to me.
please, please do not hesitate
if you ever feel the need-
by then I'll be too drained to plead
ask
me
to save you.
and I'll be there.
but you have to let yourself
save you first.
or we'll be nowhere.

about bloody time.
so basically I haven't written in a bitchin long time. since the day of my audition, apparently. I think this blog is just my Interlochen blog.. that's all I really talk about on this thing. that said, I feel the need to disclose the following information:
Interlochen Arts Academy has accepted me.
now we don't know if I can go, obviously, because it's insanely expensive. but barely anyone pays full tuition. my parents and their accountants are working with the Financial Aid office and we hope to get as much scholarship money as possible.
random thought: I think I'm going to make either a MySpace or a blog solely for my resume. at least until my dad and I get time to build my website.
oh! a theatrical update: I'm in
Little Women as Beth March, who dies mid-Act II of scarlet fever. we open in March and go from the 12th to 14th. the score is absolutely phenomenal; not so much the dialogue, but we learn to live with it.

your fortune lies in the garden of your home. it speaks to you in dreams.
so.. today was kind of... amazing.
i was nervous as HELL this morning, i ate like.. two, three? bites of toast for breakfast. i met up with jackie at admissions, flipped out a little, then headed off to algebra. fun stuff. then we went to french, of which i understand
none.. now
that was fun. then we had half of english - the teacher let us out early - and went on our "grand tour" of the campus i've known the past two summers. went to phoenix, had the
phoenix water, took pictures, lalala.
then i went for my interview with jody, which ended up just being a conversation about.. stuff. i told her about my school, friends, fam, theatre at home, all that good stuff. jody's so cool and easy to talk to. she was all "let me take your bag," "would you like some coffee?" lmao. fun shit. after talking with jody, me and jackie just sorta walked around campus. we went to a hemmingway practice room to look at my aud pieces, then went to the MoFro to grab some boscos, but it was closed!! x_x
why, cruel world?! lol. so after that, jackie dropped me off at admissions again where i met hailey (an incoming frosh) and her dad, and we all walked with jody to harvey. SOO nervewracking.. so hailey went first to audition, whilst i chatted with her dad about the awesomeness that is interlochen. thenn montee came out with hailey and i actually relaxed a ton more.. i thought i would shit a chicken seeing montee and knowing i was about to audition, but i totally didnt. it was completely chill. we talked a smidge, i did my pieces, and it was over. apparently, he was confused as to why i was in rep this summer rather than MT. that kinda made my day, if nothing else...
then acting tech. woooooah boy. THAT was an intense theatre class if i've ever seen one. holy fuck. it was freaking amazing. robin is so hardcore.. she like.. digs deep into your soul and drags the character out of you. in a loving, teacher sort of way. then it was off to little women rehearsal. i really want to come back up here to see it, but there's probably no way i can get a ride and/or place to stay. let alone permission...
after that we hung out in jackie's dorm, had pudding, spilled said pudding, attempted to vid-chat angie, failed epically, watched the emily and jessie show ( :D ), saw arabian, post-show company party, then i went back to the hotel. soooo that was my day. in short. believe it or not..
well i should probly crash. i gotta wake up early-ish tomorrow morning for my whopping three hours of free main time before we leave for Skokie. sooooya. adios. (:

you will live in seven days.
well, it's a week away. apparently i'm not leaving friday morning, but friday after school. and i'm only staying through sunday, and heading back that night. well fuck. that's just great. i thought i'd have four days of interlochenite shweetness, but it's been cut short to two.
jody says week after week that she'll "send [me] a copy of the saturday schedule next week." well, she said in her most recent email that i'd be getting it on monday. seeing as next week is the only "next week" before my audition, she's probably not bsing me again.
well i think i've finally chosen my monologues. for the third and final time. i've decided on one from midsummer, and phaeton if i can shave off a whole 60 seconds. if not, i'll use eurydice. HA and my song is purpose from avenue q.
two minutes per monologue, one minute for the song. there's so much riding on a whopping five minutes of my life. fucking terrifying..
new south of nowhere & degrassi was on today. crap.. i just realized i missed an hour of that 70's show. fantastic. mkay imma go watch the second hour.
toodles.

homestaying.
well i couldn't go to homecoming. oh well. i just stayed home and watched that 70's show. if i can't go to homecoming, that's gotta be my second choice.
chicago marathon was yesterday. WOOT. i took tons of pictures, and went sorta pictureholic on my gramma when we were walking through the city. i took like sixty-some pictures of just buildings. i gotta do that again some time... when the weather's nice. just get someone to drop me off downtown. all i need is a camera, two or three juiced up batteries, 8 gigs or so of memory, and ten bucks for lunch. and a ride... any takers?
well i'd best be off. the ten-day countdown begins manana.
oh my god.... i'm visiting interlochen next
week.... pinch me.

bored shitless.
well this is entertaining.
i'm in the fucking bac. on aim. and facebook. and blogger. their security really does suck. haha. well yesterday was actually really fun. there was this guy there who was hilarious. it was just me, him, and this other girl. fun ness. but today there's like eight people in here and we cant talk. damnit. i'm done with pretty much all i can get myself to do.. i did chem, geometry, civ, english, spanish... i even worked on fucking monologues and read more of anne frank, and i'm still bored. gah. only... two more hours and i'm free. hooray.
well i'd better go before i get caught and put in.. what, a
week of bac? haha.
au revoir

dear eurydice...
ok i just got back from seeing eurydice.phenomenal.i'm changing one of my iaa audition monologues to one from eurydice. probably the one at the end, eurydice's letter to orpheus. there are two others i'm looking at from it as well.but really, i want to fucking marry sarah ruhl. she has such incredible brilliance in her writing, the only thing more breathtaking is seeing it come to life. of course, the same is true for any play, but ruhl's writing is so unique - it breaks the standards and expectations of "normal Theatre." there is so much going on, so many things to pay attention to and remember and relish, that when you're reading it you forget different things. seeing it on stage, through people, through lights, through sound, through life, those things come at you all at once. and it's absolutely breathtaking.i've read 3 of ruhl's other plays: the clean house, melancholy play (fantastic, i really want to see it live), and late: a cowboy song. i intend to read dead man's cell phone, her newest play. i've heard great things about it.well i'm off to memorize yet another monologue, and then some. 19 days!adieu.
